Linda E Fishman
Linda E. Fishman is senior health policy advisor in the Washington, D.C. office of Hogan & Harston L.L.P. and a member of the firm’s health and legislative groups. Before that, she was chief aide to the U.S. Senate Committee on Finance’s chairman, Senator Charles E. Grassley (R-IA). Fishman was instrumental in the development and adoption of the Medicare Prescription Drug, Improvement, and Modernization Act signed into law by President Bush in December 2003.
Before her work at the Senate Finance Committee, Fishman was Senior Policy advisor to the Administrator for the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). There she managed policy developments for the agency and coordinated initiatives with the White House, Office of Management and Budget and multiple segments of the health care industry. Prior positions also include working with the U.S. House of Representatives, Committee on Ways and Means, Health Subcommittee and the Association of American Medical Colleges.
Fishman is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of University of Washington and earned a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Washington as well. She has been a member of the National Academy of Social Insurance since 2003.
